Attract suitable new businesses for jobs and get dollars flowing around the city again. Favoring locals in the bidding process helps to add dollars and get them to move around to stimulate the local economy.

Vacation rentals: They have proven to be self-limiting. They bring tourists and dollars. Don't fix what isn't broken.
Spend resident ad valorem dollars [property taxes] wisely and go into austerity measures to save every buck possible without affecting safety, health, and environment. The environment brings tourist dollars. Lobby the county's big spenders to cut their budgets as well as they affect a larger portion of the tax bill.

Protect Marathon’s mom-and-pop businesses by bringing the community together to brainstorm ideas.
